I'm a Minneapolis-area GTO-driving bass-and-northern-fishing God-fearing brown(and silver!)-haired green-eyed politically- and socially-conservative ex-sinner, ex-smoker blue-collar middle-class ecstatically-married tech-school-educated dad, step-dad, and grandpa with an older brother and a younger sister. Did I miss anything...?
The big game this week in the NFL is the 9-3 Steelers trying to keep the 12-0 Patriots from achieving a perfect 16-0 season. I'm hoping they do, and I know Josh is hoping they do, but Anthony Smith of the Steelers is sure they will! That sort of thing always adds even more fun to a game like this. I can't wait.

Well, this is certainly an entry I feel the need to comment on.
First off, let me just say that Anthony Smith is ridiculous for saying that. Even his teammates thought so. James Farrior, a linbacker, said "He better keep his mouth shut."
Agreed.
Secondly...man, I am on the verge of praying for victory, but I just don't feel right about that. I'm excited to hear that you'll be cheering for the Steelers this weekend though. Kind of warms my heart a little.

Dude, that timestamp says you left that comment at 1:50 AM, no wonder you're so tired today! I'm glad I decided to keep my blog open 24/7 this week.
Regarding the game: Sorry my cheers didn't help, but I was switching back & forth between the Vikings victory and the um, well, your game. There's an old saying we have up here in Minnesota that goes, "You can't win 'em all." The longer you live in Chicago, the more familiar you'll become with that saying.
