Some Kind Of Sign

At our daughter's birthday party recently, our son and his wife gave us a souvenir cross that they picked up for us when they were in Mexico for their honeymoon a couple weeks ago. It's about 6 inches high by maybe 4 inches wide, so it was sticking out of my shirt pocket all night. When our granddaughter noticed it, she asked "Hey Papa, where'd you get the big peace sign?"

At first I thought, "Ha ha! It's not a peace sign, silly! It's a cross!" But then it hit me. And she had no idea how profound that was.

Hello ... checking bloggers with Josie Wales interests ... seems like we have quite a few ! Hope you and your loved ones are well and safe . Yes , the cross is a comfort for those clothed in His righteousness ... a peace that passeth understanding . But we remember , with much wisdom comes much sorrow . Yet we must embrace the whole of the Word . May Christ bless and guide . Luke 12 : 51 - 53 .

I reckon so...
Me and a a guy that I used to work with, we'd spend a lot of time slinging lines from Josey Wales at each other, with the challenge being for the other guy to spout the line that followed it. Pretty fun.
Peace to you man.

What an excellent scene! Poor old Abe, with Josey's spit running down his forehead. He creeps me out every time he says, "Nice and slow, so I can count the hairrrrrrrs on that hand."
Ya gotta wonder if the buzzards even ate him!

Cause if you lose yer head and you give up , then you neither live nor win . That's just the way it is ."

I can't think of another movie with so many great lines in it. What a classic.

Oddly enough, this guy I used to swap Josey Wales lines with also is gone. He was diagnosed with cancer about 2 years after I met him, and he died maybe a year after that. But we had enough conversations about God that I 'm confident I'll see him again.
