Are Christians Sinners?

I started on this topic once (a couple times really) but of course I don't think it can ever really be finished. I've also had discussions on other people's blogs along the same lines, and I'd be interested in knowing what you think, and why, if you want. It doesn't have to be anything grand (but can be). I think I'm in the minority, so I'm looking at this as a survey I think, to see how "out there" my position is, just out of curiousity. Be as brief or long-winded as you like. Oh, and consider yourself prayed for!

Buttprints In The Sand

Buttprints In The Sand

One night I had a wondrous dream,
One set of footprints there was seen,
The footprints of my precious Lord,

But mine were not along the shore.

But then some stranger prints appeared,
And I asked the Lord, "What have we here?
Those prints are large and round and neat,
But Lord they are too big for feet."

"MY child," He said in somber tones,
"For miles I carried you alone.

I challenged you to walk in faith,
But you refused and made me wait."

"You disobeyed, you would not grow,
The walk of faith, you would not know.
So I got tried, I got fed up,
and there I dropped you on your butt."

"Because in life, there comes a time,
when one must fight, and one must climb.
When one must rise and take a stand,
or leave their butt prints in the sand."

Vikings Score Bigger Than Giants

I think with the unpredictable Vikings having moved up to the next level (mediocrity), I'm gunna lighten up on them a little bit. A little bit. Not that they're GOOD quite yet. The 2 touch downs scored by special teams and the one scored by the defense were nearly as amazing as the lack of offense. The offense scored a total of 3 points today, while the rest of the team scored 21. It was almost funny to watch. But I'm a little ticked because I couldn't enjoy the game as much as I should have. Although the Vikes led nearly the entire game, it was all due to freak plays and unusual breaks. I KNEW that they would find a way to lose it eventually, and I wasn't gunna get sucked into hoping they'd be able to pull it off. They've burned me too many times before that way.

But they won the game.

They're 4-5 now, almost average. So I have to cut them some slack. To everyone but the offense: You looked great today. Especially the special teams. You guys were awesome.
Offense: I'd love to say something good about you, but... I just can't. WAIT!!!

"Way to score three points you guys!"

Intelligent Design In Kansas Schools

"Risking the kind of nationwide ridicule it faced six years ago, the Kansas Board of Education approved new public-school science standards Tuesday that cast doubt on the theory of evolution."

That's the opening sentence from the story on MSNBC. It seems strange to me that the school board would be "ridiculed" for putting forth another theory on the beginnings of life. Maybe they should be praised for their open-mindedness. Are Darwinists that sure that theirs is the only possible explanation? Why is it that they are so threatened by even the possibilility of another theory being taught? Shouldn't students be able to investigate other ideas, or should they just throw their brains out the window and believe whatever is taught?

Is Intelligent Design the same as Creationism? In all honesty I don't see how the two can be separated. But I wouldn't say that Creationism is synonymous with Christianity, as critics claim. Would you be comfortable having your child taught Intelligent Design as the public schools will present it, keeping in mind that it probably wouldn't match your beliefs? Or are you content to have evolution taught in school and your own beliefs at home? Would teaching ID in public schools constitute congress "making a law respecting an establishment of religion"?

Team De-claws Lions

I watched the Detroit Lions game yesterday, and I thought whoever that was that beat them 27-14, played pretty well. The Vikings were scheduled to play the Lions, but if they had I'm pretty sure they would have made fools of themselves in one way or another.

So congratulations to whoever that was that beat the Lions yesterday. Good game.

Fasterfox

If you use Firefox, have you tried the Fasterfox extension? (available by clicking Tools>Extensions>Get More Extensions) I just found out about it last night and while I haven't noticed an incredible increase in surfing speed, it does seem a little bit faster. It has several general settings for novices, and more customizable settings for geeks, of which I am not yet one but hope someday to be. If you get incredible results, let me know what you did.
